On June 26, the Project Company of CNTIC VPower Group Holdings Limited (CNTIC VPower), a 50/50 joint venture of CNTIC and VPower Group, and Myanmar Electric Power Company under the Myanmar Ministry of Electricity and Energy, signed power purchase agreements on Yangon Thanlyin 350 MW and Kyaukpyu 150 MW power generation projects, respectively. Currently, the projects have been connected to the grid in stages, further ensuring Myanmar’s summer power supply.

On June 28, an LNG supply vessel was moored at Thilawa Port in Yangon, successfully providing “ship-to-ship (STS)” filling to the CNTIC VPower Global LNG ship. This is also Myanmar’s first STS LNG filling, which will offer fuel for the continuous power generation of Thaketa and Thanlyin power stations.
